Todd Stavrakos joins the Dezzi Group with over 35 years of experience in government relations and non-profit work. He has worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC as well as Harrisburg as policy directors. A fixture in City Hall for most of his professional life, he is well versed in city government. He has worked with public officials on both sides of the political spectrum to bring about positive changes in our communities.  

An ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church USA, Todd has served three congregations, including one in Scotland. As a pastor he has advocated for legislative relief for stressed communities as well as for social justice issues. His advocacy on immigration issues developed into a relationship with public and private entities to welcome buses of immigrants traveling from the border region to Philadelphia. He has served in the leadership of the Presbytery, including serving as the Public Witness coordinator for the Presbytery. Most recently he brokered a deal to create 62 units of senior housing at the former site of the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia.  

In the non-profit world, he has served as the president of the board of a Head Start program that enrolled 800 students in West Philadelphia. He has been the moderator of the local Self Development of People where he assisted small community organizations through the SDOP grants program. He also founded an educational non-profit that brings together mainline clergy and rabbis together for study and travel, building bridges between these faith communities.  

Besides his board engagement with Head Start, he also serves on the board of the Institute for Catholic and Jewish Relations at St. Joseph’s University and a consultant to the Younited School at Givat Haviva in Israel.  

He completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at Villanova University and a Master of Divinity at Princeton Theological Seminary. He lives in Center City with his wife and two children in college.
